Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how KissAsian (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with your use of https://kissasianweb.org (the “Site”), and explains the choices and rights available to you. By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please discontinue your use of the Site.
1. Who We Are
KissAsian operates the Site and is responsible, as data controller, for the personal information processed through it as described in this policy. Questions about this policy may be directed to support@kissasianweb.org.
2. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to information processed through the Site. It does not apply to websites, services, or video platforms operated by third parties, including the hosts whose players are embedded on the Site. Those parties are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, our web servers automatically record certain technical information, including:
- your Internet Protocol (IP) address;
- your browser type, version, and language settings;
- your operating system and device type;
- the pages you request, the date and time of each request, and the referring URL;
- error logs and similar diagnostic information.
This information is necessary to deliver web pages to your device, to keep the Site secure, and to diagnose technical problems.
3.2 Information You Provide
You are not required to create an account or to provide personal information in order to browse the Site or watch embedded content. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, your email address, and the content of your message.
If you post a comment, we collect the name, email address, and (optionally) website you enter, together with your IP address and browser user agent, which help us detect and prevent spam. Your email address is never published. Your name, website, and comment are displayed publicly alongside the comment.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. The Site uses the following categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies, which support basic functions of the Site, such as remembering the details you entered in the comment form when you ask it to;
- Third-party player cookies, set by video hosts when you choose to play an embedded video, as described in Section 5.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, as described in Section 12.
5. Embedded Video Players
The Site does not host video files. Videos are provided by third-party hosting platforms and displayed through embedded players. An embedded player is not loaded when a page opens; it loads only when you press play. Until you do, no request is sent to the video host.
Once a player loads, your browser connects directly to the host, which may collect your IP address, set cookies or similar identifiers, record your interaction with the video, and associate that activity with any account you hold with that host. The host acts independently of us, and its own privacy policy governs that processing.
Video hosts may display their own advertising within their players and may use advertising cookies for that purpose. We do not control those advertisements and do not receive personal information from them, nor do we receive any revenue from them.
6. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- operate, maintain, and deliver the Site;
- protect the Site and its visitors against fraud, abuse, and security threats;
- diagnose technical problems and improve performance;
- publish and moderate comments;
- respond to your enquiries and requests;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use personal information to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
7. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — operating and securing the Site, preventing abuse, and moderating comments;
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — and information you choose to send us, where consent is the applicable basis;
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) — where we are required by law to retain or disclose information.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
8. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers — hosting and content delivery providers that process information on our behalf in order to operate the Site;
- Legal requirements — where disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or a lawful request from a public authority;
- Protection of rights — where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of KissAsian, our visitors, or others;
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of the Site, subject to this policy.
9. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Server logs are retained for up to twelve (12) months and are then deleted or anonymised. Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. Comments, and the information submitted with them, are retained until the comment is deleted. We may retain information for longer where the law requires it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, such as encrypted connections and restricted administrative access. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Transfers
Information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you reside, including countries whose data protection laws differ from those of your own. Where the law requires it, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses offered by our service providers.
12. Your Choices
- Browser controls — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how parts of the Site work;
- Embedded players — you may avoid video host cookies by not pressing play, or limit them by signing out of the host’s service before watching.
13. Your Rights
13.1 European Economic Area and United Kingdom
You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal information; to restrict or object to its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
13.2 California
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request its deletion or correction; to opt out of its sale or sharing; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
13.3 Other Jurisdictions
Depending on where you live, you may have similar rights under local law. We will honour such requests in accordance with the law that applies to them.
14. Exercising Your Rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@kissasianweb.org. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request, and we will respond within the period required by applicable law — generally one month under the GDPR and forty-five (45) days under California law. Because the Site does not require accounts, we may hold little or no information that can be linked to you; if so, we will tell you.
15. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
There is no uniform industry standard for responding to “Do Not Track” browser signals, and the Site does not currently respond to them. Because we do not sell or share personal information, a Global Privacy Control signal does not change how we process your information.
16. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact support@kissasianweb.org and we will delete it.
17. Third-Party Websites
The Site may contain links to websites and services operated by others. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above, and where changes are material we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention. Your continued use of the Site after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
19. Contact Us
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our handling of personal information, please contact us at support@kissasianweb.org.
